- The Death Set’s unique, infectiously catchy sound is heavily reliant on drum machines, laptops, intelligently exploited samples from television and hip-hop, and simple guitar riffs and keyboard parts that carom off of each other like pinballs. But the band’s real strength stems from their layered vocal stylings — Beau Velasco’s throaty wail supports and augments Johnny Siera’s Buzzcockian shrieks, creating a completely new voice that is far greater than the sum of its parts. Every so often, the whole operation collapses into a gut-wrenching, wordless wail that seems set to become the duo’s trademark. (9 out of 10) - Beatbots.com

To, the tangible souvenir of the Death Set’s globetrotting birth, is a breathless 13-minute punk romp, equal parts eardrum-grinding abrasion, lo-fi drum-machine beats, and wheedling guitar lines that bounce along like happy puppies. Standout track “Negative Thinking” is a fist-pumping anthem about the dangers of getting down on yourself, with the unforgettable chorus, “In hindsight, I don’t want to be like the people I’ve liked.” The Death Set sound is undeniably punk. But there’s a tongue-in-cheek cheerfulness to the pair’s sneering dual lead vocals and an underlying message of defiant self-reliance, particularly on the EP’s closer, “Around the World,” where they shout, “We go around the world and we do what must be done/ It’s a top-secret mission and our enemies are wishin’ that they had a bigger gun.” - Baltimore City Paper

MAGICICADA
Title: Everyone
Format: CD
Label: Public Guilt
Price: 6.99 USD

The first 500 disc contain 1 of 4 limited edition photographs by Christopher White (Magicicada). "In this entrancing, beautifully packaged album of trance-inducing sound collages, Atlanta musician Christopher White has combined various organic sounds such as iron balls rolling on wooden floors, oven doors, and buses with more conventional musical instruments, ironically creating something decidedly otherworldly. Strange, unsettling, but oddly optimistic, it's the musical equivalent of a Bruce Conner sculpture." - Pop Matters

TREPHINE
Title: S/T
Format: CD
Label: Public Guilt
Price: 7.69 USD

Trephine certainly aren't for the faint of heart, but as this EP demonstrates, they won't let their heaviness get in the way of interesting and engaging melodic metal. - Spledidezine.com

YMA SUMAC
Title: Voice Of The Xtabay
Format: 2LP
Label: Rev-Ola
Price: 15.59 USD

- Despite her incredibly unconventional style, when the first Yma Sumac album Voice Of The Xtabay was originally released in 1950, it hit number one on the US charts making the Peruvian singer an enormous success and simultaneously launching the "Exotica" vogue. She was an innovator in the truest sense of the word and few, if any, have been able to follow in her giant footsteps.

ELVIS PRESLEY
Title: The King Of Western Bop
Format: 2LP
Label: Rev-Ola
Price: 15.59 USD

- TENNESSEE 1954... and there's an exciting new buzz in the hot Southern air. Sam Phillips' long search for "a white man who had the Negro sound and the Negro feel" was over and the handsome young man before him not only sounded right, but in his loose black shir tand outlandish pink pegged slacks, he also looked the part. When Elvis released his first singles the style of music he was playing didn't even have a name yet! The trade papers were calling it "country blues," but later it would be renamed simply, but evocatively, "rockabilly." So here is a 2LP documenting those first exciting years with Sun when Elvis Presley was still young, sexy and dangerous.

Tracks: SIDE A: 1. Just Because 2. Blue Moon Of Kentucky - discarded take 3. Blue Moon Of Kentucky 4. Harbor Lights 5. I'll  Never Let You Go (Little Darlin') - discarded take 6. I'll Never Let You Go (Little Darlin') 7. That's All Right - discarded take 8. That's All Right SIDE B: 1. Tomorrow Night 2. I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine - discarded take 3. I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine 4. Good Rockin' Tonight 5. Blue Moon - discarded take 6. Blue Moon - discarded takes 7. Blue Moon SIDE C: 1. That's All Right - live Radio KWKH 2. VOICES OF THE MILLENIUM
Title: S/T
Format: LP
Label: Rev-Ola
Price: 11.49 USD

- The never-finished project of legendary producer, scenemaker, and Beach Boy collaborator Gary Usher's utopic, but short-lived Together Records. Hoping to cash in on the label's only "name band" Sagittarius in 1969/70, Usher arranged new Sagittarius demo sessions in hopes to release a follow-up album. Sagittarius was really just Usher, Curt Boettcher and members of The Millennium. And now along with close friends like Randy Meisner, Pat Shanahan and Rusty Young, a number of elaborate yet fresh and direct demos were laid down.... In their original demo form, bereft of electronic trickery, it is possible to now hear these songs as the logical development of the soft pop style their writers had been working in since 1965. Despite the studio mastery and innovative use of technology that the Millennium, Usher, Boettcher and Olsen are renowned for, it really was and is all in the songs... and these are truly some of their best...

CICCONE YOUTH
Title: Whitey Album
Format: LP
Label: Goofin'
Price: TBA

- A deluxe vinyl re-release of Ciccone Youth's The Whitey Album, the full-length recorded by Sonic Youth's Top-40 obsessed alter-ego is now available on the band's own Goofin' imprint. In 1988, after hinting that a tribute to the Beatles' White Album was in the works, the band about-faced and delivered this brain-sick celebration of pop-culture and The Material Girl in particular. The album has been spectacularly remastered and manufactured to provide hi-fi reproductions of such favorites as "Needle-Gun," "MacBeth," and Mike Watt's original demo recording of "Burnin' Up."*** Vinyl only reissue of Sonic Youth's classic 1988 tribute to Madonna and other Top 40 tastemakers.

SONIC YOUTH
Title: S/T
Format: 2xLP
Label: Goofin'

- Sonic Youth's eponymous debut EP, reissued in a deluxe double- LP edition on the band's own Goofin' imprint, was recorded in late 1981 at Radio City Music Hall in NYC and originally released on composer Glenn Branca's Neutral label. The album is loosely based on compositions the newly formed group had performed at that year's week-long Noisefest event (and remains the only recorded document of an early line-up featuring actor Richard Edson on drums). The newly remastered vinyl also features extra live material from a 1981 gig, and a track from a previously unheard studio session.

CRAFT
Title: Fuck The Universe
Format: 2xLP Red Vinyl
Label: Southern Lord
Price: 13.29 USD

- Limited To A One Time Pressing Of 1K. Non Returnable. Red Vinyl available!!

CRAFT
Title: Terror Propaganda
Format: CD
Label: Moribund
Price: 10.79 USD

- With "Terror propaganda" as a follow up to the magnificent debut album, Craft once again prove that real nostalgic black metal still can be found within the relatively overcrowded metal scene of today. The cold, evil and extremely hateful recording Craft has provided this world with, could almost seem like a relic from the past. It takes you back to when black metal was something that the common man feared. It is time to let Craft rape you and your beloved ones! Moribund license from Selbsmord Services, Sweden.

CRAFT
Title: Total Soul Rape
Format: CD
Label: Moribund
Price: 10.79 USD

- With their second album, "Terror Propaganda", the Swedes from CRAFT had made one of the best Black Metal albums from the year 2003, definitely a true homage to DARKTHRONE, and a condensate of pure hatred. "Total Soul Rape", their very first album, having been not so well distributed at the time, their new label Selbstmord are re-releasing it... and you won't be disappointed, because this album is also of very good quality and shows that CRAFT are a great Black Metal band. Thomas (Metal Observer)

MORD
Title: Christendom Perished
Format: CD
Label: Southern Lord
Price: 9.59 USD

- Behold another sacrificial offering from the Lord: Spewing forth gruesomely grim, buzzing and blazing black metal, Southern Lord is proud to unleash the debut incarnate from Norways' MORD (which translates to : "Murder" in their native Norwegian blasphemous tongue) This is pure yet filthy Norwegian Black Metal in the veins of ye olde guarde: Immortal, Dark Throne, Carpathian Forest, etc. Mord effectively put a different spin on "traditional black metal" by injecting the influence of satanic death metal bands like: Incantation, and Sadistik Exekution. As has come to be expected from the recent Black Metal out pouring coming from the Southern Lord lair, Mord is no exception to Southern Lord exclusively offering only the absolute purest, bleakest and blackest unholy Black Metal in existence. MORD was founded in 1999 and started out by Nordra. Nordra recorded a first demo as a one man band in 2001. In august 2003 Necrolucas joined MORD as a drummer. MORD entered Necromorbus Studio in february 2004 and recorded the Unholy Inquisition - demo. Southern Lord released this demo on vinyl in 2004. It was rabidly devoured by the black metal hordes and has been rendered out of print. War has been born!!!

XASTHUR
Title: Telepathic With The Deceased
Format: CD
Label: Moribund
Price: 10.79 USD

- Darkhorse leader in the American Black Metal Underground, XASTHUR-- headed by Malefic-- offers the third album of deep and distorted Suicidal Black Metal noise. Spanning icy sojourns and decaying ambience, even paralyzing funeral doom paces, XASTHUR is the Blackest of the Black.

XASTHUR
Title: To Violate The Oblivious
Format: CD
Label: Moribund
Price: 10.79 USD

- New full-length CD (USA VERSION + BONUS TRACK) from XASTHUR. Spanning over 55+ minutes in length, and contains all new material recorded in 2004! The original import featured 9 tracks; this new re-issue features a "USA only" BONUS TRACK, for a total of 10 songs! Malefic’s best effort to date without a doubt. Domestic edition courtesy of the Moribund Cult; originally was available as expensive imports from Total Holocaust Records Sweden. "The best way to describe it, would be to not compare it to anything at all, since this album carries it’s own identity and sound. The only thing that one can say, is that this is an album you won't sit smiling through, this is a trip to the darkest of minds, and inner hysteria, embrace the madness, give in to those thoughts that have been tormenting you. Embrace death.

LEVIATHAN
Title: Tenth Sub Level Of Suicide
Format: CD
Label: Moribund
Price: 10.79 USD

- Cold grim BLACK METAL from the cult-est of San Francisco's Underground! Suicidal, melancholy and mesmerizing sonic darkness in the vein of XASTHUR, NACHTMYSTIUM, AZRAEL, and fellow San Franciscans WEAKLING (r.i.p.)!

LEVIATHAN
Title: Tentacles Of Whorror
Format: CD
Label: Moribund
Price: 10.79 USD

- Another grim and mesmerizing Black Metal masterpiece sure to drive you to self-extinction!

XASTHUR/LEVIATHAN
Title: Split
Format: CD
Label: Battle Kommand
Price: 10.79 USD

- Two of the most renowned figures in U.S. Black Metal. Together on one release. First time this is available on CD anywhere in the world.

LEVIATHAN
Title: Howl Mockery At The Cross
Format: CD
Label: Moribund
Price: 10.79 USD

- Reams of demos hover in the shadows of Leviathan's legitimate studio material, but they're usually tagged with frustrating phrases like "out of print," "hard to find," or "check ebay." So Wrest throws the diehards a bone with Howl Mockery at the Cross. The follow-up to 2004's Tentacles of Whorror is a demo collection spanning all the way back to Leviathan's beginnings. The restlessness and exploratory nature of the outfit thrive in these tracks -- this is still black metal through and through, but it takes frequent and exciting turns toward math rock, trad metal structure, and even broken melody. "Lycanthropus Rex" is a swirling mess of overdriven guitar and Wrest's anguished bleat; in the middle a wolf growls, and that's the cue for things to become baroque and moody like something out of Psychic TV's past.
