About the Retail Discs in Digipaks format:

A Digipak is a specialized, patented form of optical disc packaging (CD/DVD) that features a folded, sturdy cardboard outer shell with a plastic tray glued directly onto it to hold the disc. Often used for premium, special edition, or environmentally friendlier releases, they offer full-color, high-quality printing on 4, 6, or 8 panels, providing a more aesthetic alternative to traditional plastic jewel cases for disc packaging.

Definition:
A digipak or digipack (generic term) is a rectangular cardboard package with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a disc attached to the inside. There are variations where the disc(s) sit on a hub or spindle inside and come in various sizes. A digipak-style case is a common alternative to the jewel case.
